Eljuri attracts and unites communities through the power of live music, to inspire and empower people to recognize and use their voice. You have the right to vote, you have the right to express yourself at your kitchen table, a church coffee hour, a school parents’ night, a community board meeting, and in a national election. Communities are built on the perspectives of individuals. Your individual voice is your power.

Voting is an example of how to amplify your voice. Engaging with Latinos in particular, and partnering with HeadCount.org (HeadCount.org/es/), SpreadTheVote.org and Every Vote Counts (evcnational.org) at the concerts Eljuri fosters a sense of community making voting a collective experience and encouraging audience members to take action together.

The Eljuri trio reaches diverse multi-generational people through live performances of Eljuri’s bilingual songs; people who are new to this country, who are underrepresented, who feel marginalized, and whose voices have traditionally been silenced due to racism, sexism, ageism, and classism. And, of course, allies who help others to stand up for themselves.

This live concert series focuses on helping audience members find and use their voice towards positive change in their lives.
